About PHFI – UK Consortium

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) along with a consortium of UK Universities aims to develop the research and teaching skills of IIPH and PHFI's faculty members by supporting their growth at various career stages.

PHFI is a public-private initiative established to address the lack of institutional capacity in India for public health education, research & training through an establishment of a network of Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs).

PHFI along with a consortium of 16 British universities/institutions was awarded a capacity building grant by the Wellcome Trust. This 5 year programme aims to develop the research and teaching skills of IIPH and PHFI's faculty members by supporting their growth at various career stages. This programme includes opportunities for doctoral studies and masters, research fellowships and collaborative research projects, short training courses and faculty exchanges between India and UK.
